Clearly-identifiable user list gives you quick information on access rights held by a particular user in respect to their LAN and remote access. You can also easily sort user accounts on a given user list, and apply account filtering based on parameters, which helps significantly towards finding information and making changes across a large group of users.
The same user accounts for all services. With this option, when you create one user account, you can quickly and easily add various functionality options to a particular user. By ticking boxes against user account configuration settings, you will decide which resources are available to them.

Manage LAN and Internet-shared resources and make decisions on who and how can access given information. Depending on the hardware used, you can store your data on 1 – 8 fast built-in hard drives. You can also use external USB hard drives.

Global view of all the resources will give you quick access to information such as how much space is taken by given resources on a hard drive, information on imposed restrictions and how resources have been shared via LAN or the Internet. Moreover, just like with user accounts, you can sort and filter resources by their type. It will be particularly useful in case of large amount of created resources.
Share the same resources in various ways. When you set up a new resource you can decide from the outset how it should be accessible by users. You can decide to grant access via file, FTP or web server.

Data Backup reflects the type of stored data. ethernus 2 will let you back up files stored on the file server, database information and email messages from the mail server. Data backup can be configured to be performed as you choose, on demand or automatically, according to the schedule you have established. No matter what method you select, the backup will be performed in one of the three following modes: all data (full backup) or only the data which has changed (incremental or differential backup).
With backup function you can recover data stored on ethernus 2 even if they are accidentally deleted or if the hard drive holding them fails.
Configuration backup. In case of any failure, the configuration backup will make it possible to restore network configuration settings, user accounts and services to return to the moment when the backup copy was done. Configuration backup can be run both on the device where the backup was performed but equally well on a new device. This will enable fast system recovery and continuous operation even in times of a serious system failure.
Power-surge protection and power failure protection. Due to the built-in emergency UPS power supplies monitoring, ethernus 2 will assist you in protecting hardware against damage and data loss due to power surge or failure.
Moreover, even if emergency UPS power supply battery is about to run out, ethernus 2 will automatically power down in a scheduled fashion, stopping all services and saving all changes.

Check how easy and quick your own mail server configuration can be. ethernus 2 ensures that the information sent remains safe and shielded from prying eyes – without a need to resort to external hosting services.

Email accounts. With ethernus 2 you will be able to quickly add an inbox, specify size limit, activate message filters, auto replies and define numerous other options for any chosen email account.
Anti-spam module and anti-virus scanner ensure that the number of unwanted messages arriving at users’ inboxes is significantly reduced. ethernus 2 has five independent filter algorithms against junk mail as well as an antivirus scanner to protect server against virus-infected messages.
Message Rules for incoming mail enable authentication of e-mail sending server and block a significant portion of spam and email messages arriving from unknown sources.
Filters for incoming, outgoing as well as messages sent via LAN, make it possible to define own settings and can be applied against all traffic, particular domain or even an individual email account. When you configure a filter you define what action is performed by the server upon fulfilling certain pre-defined rules.
Webmail will give quick and easy access to your mail, not only through email client software, but also through a web browser. Webmail also makes it possible for users to define their own filters, redirection rules and auto responders.
